BSA

The BSA bottom bracket is the most popular and reliable threaded bicycle standard. Also known as “English” or “BSC” threading, it features two separate bearing cups (one for each side of the frame) that screw directly into threads inside the bike frame’s bottom bracket shell.

  • Thread Standard: 1.37″* 24 TPI (24 threads per inch).
  • Shell Inside Diameter:  33.7mm to 34.8  mm
  • Shell Widths:
    • Road Bikes: 68 mm wide.
    • Mountain Bikes (MTB):73 mm wide.
