I purchased OLD 130mm model to convert my road bike to a fixie. Maybe they don’t understand the problems why someone needs 130mm axle kit. They just add 5mm spacer on each side, but the total shaft length is the same as original 120mm one. So you can’t obtain enough length of thread to tighten locknuts when you install the wheel to a bike. At least the total shaft length (thread part) should have been lengthened 5mm on each side. Or they should have provided locknuts with complete thread. (Locknuts included have aprox 5mm incomplete thread part) It was totally waste of money. I’m so disappointed.

We’re sorry to hear that this kit was a problem for you. We have been selling these hubs and axle kits since 2007 and we’ve never had a problem. Perhaps your dropout are unusually thick? The nuts we provide are proper track nuts and are designed to torque to a very high tension without gouging the frame. The threads on the axle are a standard pitch so, if needed, you can purchase nuts a most any hardwarde store and that would give you more thread purchase.
