Pawls wear out over time especially if ridden in competition or in inclement weather. Worn pawls can fail to engage or slip under load which could result in injury.
These are the same Pawls and Spring found on all D162SB-SL and XD462SB-SL Platform Hubs with:
1. F-Type Shim/Sram 10/11spd Freehubs
2. F-Type Sram XD 11/12spd Freehubs
Novatec 5-Pawls and Spring should be paired with either 33T PRESS FIT Ratchet Rings.
